Each publisher has different options for downloading content. Some information providers allow pdf download, and others do not.
Some publishers, like Elsevier (ClinicalKey) require you to create a personal account in their system in order to access certain features, like PDF downloads.
We recognize that being presented with some kind of log in screen to access features or options can make things confusing. Most of the time, you do not need to create a personal account to access library resources. If you do decide to register for a personal account, please do not use the username/password combination you use to log into the Pulse or D2L. You don't want to provide this information to a third party company.
We have asked our information providers repeatedly to remove the barrier of a login in order to download pdf content, but have not been able to get publishers to change this requirement.
If you have any questions about access to digital information resources at DMU, please contact the library.
